The Technical Manager serves two functions at the Wahpeton facility. The first role is to act as the facility's Lean Sigma continuous improvement site champion. The second role is to manage the facility's quality control assurance and process engineering function.
The achievement of Site Champion Lean Sigma Certification (Purple Belt) via training from Masonite's continuous improvement group.
The initiation and managemnt of site Kaizen teams and events.
The performance of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) events and translation of these events into specific well defined Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.
Training and coaching facility personnel in the use of Lean Sigma tools.
The direction and supervision of the project process engineer.
The establishment and upkeep of product quality specifications and targets.
The assessment, development, and revision of QC&A methods and procedures for the purpose of determining the adequacy and appropriateness of these methods in assuring the delightment of our customers as well as conformance with established standards and specifications.
The ownership, care and upkeep of process parameter documentation including straw refining, press settings, and secondary operations product specifications.
The qualification and quantification of quality scrap and rework, the development and upkeep of an information management system to track these defects, and the revision or addition of procedures to correct the causes of scrap and rework.
Bachelors Degree or higher in engineering either mechanical, electrical or industrial is preferred.
5-10 years of manufacturing experience required.
Training and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement methods such as Six Sigma, Lean Sigma, and other formalized data/statistical improvement methods.
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer and software skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Outlook). Experience in CAD and statistical analysis software such as Minitab is a plus.
The ability to effectively lead teams, comfortably conduct presentations for potentially large audiences, and effectively interact with peers and upper management alike to achieve required goals and objectives.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
